How The US NAVY SEALS Staged An Attack In SOMALIA To Arrest WESTGATE Attack Mastermind

Friday night the US Navy Seals team raided the seaside home,a safe for the Al Shabaab. According to official sources, the attack was prompted by the recent westgate attack in Kenya.

The target was a top unnamed Shabab leader who was believed to be at the Baraawe,a small port town south of Mogadishu. The mission had been planned about one and a half Weeks prior according to Pentagon reports.

The US Navy Team are specialised group that are highly trained purposely for conducting high risk attacks. It is the same team that successfully traced and laid an attack on Al Qaeda's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden killing him in a mission that lasted less than an hour. It is the creme of the worlds superpower's security team.

The SEAL team stealthily approached the beachfront house by sea before exchanging
gunfire with militants in a predawn
firefight that was the most significant raid by American troops on Somali soil since commandos killed Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan,
a Qaeda mastermind, near the same town four years ago.

Its established that after docking and starting a fire exchange with the Al Shabaab soldiers, one of the militants was killed in the cross fire. The word quickly went around and the militants in the nearby Towns quickly rushed to the seaside home.

According to security sources, the mission was immediately aborted to prevent civilians  casualties. The team are trained such that their mission is to be done fastest and in the shortest time going by its riskiness and secrecy. During the initial stages, silencers were used before engaging in full loud fire with the militants.

They then evacuated the scenes using a speed boat then into a naval ship.

Such operations by American forces are rare because they carry a high risk, and indicate that the target was considered a
high priority.

Similarly, the US commandos went for another terror suspect in Libya, this time it was successful. Nazih Abdul-Hamed al-Ruqai,a Libyan
known by the alias Anas al-Libi is a suspected terrorist allied to Al Qaeda group.

He is linked to the 1998 bomb attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. In the same style he was arrested by the commandos and is said to be legally detained at a secluded place outside Libya.

The two raids goes to show the US's concerns with Kenya and the fight against terror. It should be noted that both the attacks are all linked to terror raids in Kenya. Big Brother indeed.
